Harold McGee – BBC Radio 4 podcast

Many thanks to Aline  (http://alinetayar.com/) for giving me the heads up that this podcast was available online. www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/foodprog

It features Harold McGee, an American author who writes about the chemistry and history of food. If you have a spare half hour, grab a cuppa and take a listen. Harold will inform you of the following :

Taste and the effect of environment and stimuli

The “do’s and don’t’s” of Thai sticky rice

How to make crispier sweet potato chips

The issue of flatulence and foods (fascinating!)

Current research on reheated pasta and its positive effects on lowering blood sugar levels

Infrared thermometers – a necessity in any kitchen

And solving the World’s big issues – do I need to sift flour?

There are several more podcast available and I will post them when something takes my fancy. Enjoy! TBH xx
